GitHub Education Verification
To get free GitHub Pro access, you will need to verify your teacher status. You will be asked to upload a document that proves your academic affiliation. A good option is to use your phone to take a claer picture of your faculty ID badge. Avoid using your computers camera to take a picture of the badge - these often fail verification. The verification may be approved within minutes ot manual and take multiple days to complete. After the verification is approved, there is a 72-hour wai before your "Pro" benefits are activated. Make sure to submit your application well in advance of the workshop - at least one week.
